The ABCs of RDDs and IVs

An advanced course on regression discontinuity and instrumental variables for researchers who already work quantitatively. Every session pairs a real dataset with a theory to evaluate against it: participants code live, argue implications, and leave with scripts that run.

• Engage critically with the terminology and concepts behind causal identification.
• Understand and run causal inference designs in Stata or R.
• Assess the checks and the threats that each design carries.
